If you fly off peak and business class then buying points on sale with Aeroplan does make sense. I got sfo-Syd for 1900 with united round trip including taxes and fees

A few years ago the chase preferred card gave me 100,000 points thanks to Kara and Nate. To bad they ain’t offering it now but yall said Marriott was offering 4x points if we moved the points from Chase I moved 68,000 points to Marriott last week and have over 90,000 Marriott points now thanks to y’all for the information

We stayed at the Marriot fallsview at the end of last year as a pre honeymoon weekend. It was so cold the mist was freezing on the US side. But we Love the bonvoy program, lots of perks. Stay one night, get credit for 2 nights is one of the best

I recently flew Melb to Auckland to LA and of course back the same way. Worst business class I've ever flown, and the Air NZ lounge in Auckland is horrendous

QSuite tickets don't get you access to the First Class lounge in Doha, unfortunately. Qatar is super strict, and not even One World Emerald members can access that lounge, it's only for passengers with a first class ticket (or Qatar elites traveling in Business). I think Nate and Kara just got lucky (or recognized).

Why do you say your stay was "free"? You used points that you had to earn by spending money. That is also true for the bonus points you get for signing up for a card. They only award you those points after you spend so much money. For the World of Hyatt card you can earn 60,000 points after you spend $12,000. Not "free".
